| Notes: |
No hail pad here in NC -- it's a rare event.
Most hail was dime-sized or smaller; 3/8" is an estimated average.
I did save (freeze) 3 of the larger hail stones.
Can't report reliably about the angle of fall... a lot was bouncing off our rather steep-pitch roof. However, there was no significant surface wind during the storm. The intensity/amount of hail did not cover the ground... perhaps 20 hailstones per square foot. |
