Revised report: went out and looked at hail. Bigger than I thought. Large ones (nickel or better) are a mix of white and clear ice (white on the inside with a clear out "shell", and somewhat flattened and looking a bit like flattened hamburger buns.
Hail is really LOUD on my new metal roof! Hail came down for 7 minutes, about 4 minutes of that right in the middle it was really hard and fierce. Obscured visibility a little bit. Hail pad was out! Will turn it in. |
