Fairly heavy rainfall started first (exact time unknown) then only a couple hailstones fell.Then 10:47 am continuous heavy hail-fall began, lasting 5 minutes.Tapered off then stopped.During the 5 minutes far more hail than rain fell. Most hail stones were hard, round, white ice from nickel to half dollar.( a lesser amount contained clear ice with rings of white) The ping pong sized that we found were flat/disc shaped and had a bumpy white ice look. Hail fell at very slight angle. |
