| Notes: |
I was in my car 3 miles east of Sedro-Woolley, WA, between Sims and Helmick Roads, on State Highway 20, driving west.. I saw a large, low very dark cloud ahead, saw lightning, heard thunder once. Then large raindrops and pea sized hail slammed into the car. I and most of the other cars pulled off the road as visibility was very poor. Road was soon covered with several layers of hail. Outside temperature dropped to 47°. There was more hail than I have seen before in the 47 years I have lived in northwest Washington. |
