Hail Report
Hail Report Information
Station Number: NY-ER-166
Station Name: Boston 2.5 NE
Date: 6/2/2020 11:45 PM
Submitted 6/03/2020 7:26 AM
Taken at registered location: True
Notes: Could only measure one hailstone - the largest I saw. That's the one I saved. Based on impressions on pad and brief glimpse as they fell, I'd guess that most stones were 1/4 to 1/2 inch diameter. Spotter report for this event was made at the time to Buffalo NWS. Count of hailstones on pad is approximate. The pad I used had a few impressions from a prior storm (on another date), but that storm had only very small hail, 1/8" diameter, so I ignored the smallest impressions when counting currently.
