| Notes: |
This is my first hail report, but I WAS careful to note the times and go out to observe the ice. Individual stones were amazingly well-shaped, and looked like they had been frozen solid in tiny custard cups. There was a good deal more rain than hail; the storm began with heavy rain, then a hail/heavy rain mix, then more rain with lightening and LOUD thunder, neither of which were within a mile of my station. Power went out briefly just after rainfall stopped. |
