I was away from the station at time of storm, arriving to find some hail remaining on ground below roof valleys (a few inches deep) and in a few other areas. Indications were that hail might have accumulated to cover smooth surfaces. Remaining hail was a variety of sizes up to 3/8". Damage included a shredded rhubarb plant, a vane broken of of the anemometer, leaves & leaf fragments below most tree species, and flowers and petals of blooming plants including fruit trees. |
