We had a prolonged thunderstorm over a period of over an hour this afternoon with 5 separate hail events that were from 2-5 minutes in length. There was no letup of rain during the entire time - just 'bursts of hail' between periods of rain only. Hail burst 1 (2:02 to 2:07) was 5 minutes in length; rice to 1/4" size; hard white stones; rain first. Hail burst 2 (2:17 to 2:21) was 4 minutes in length; 1/4" to 3/8" size; hard white stones. Hail burst 3 (2:25 to 2:27) was 2 minutes in length; 1/4" to 3/8" size; hard white stones. Hail burst 4 (2:31 to 2:32) was 1 minute in length; rice to 1/4" size; hard white stones. Hail burst 5 (2:33 to 2:35 was 2 minutes in length; rice to 1/4" size; hard white stones. During this entire event, the rain never stopped. |
