Notes: Sky very dark northeast. Started rain at 5:04pm very lge drops and heavy. Hail added in @ 5:07, mixed rice to lge pea. Hail stopped 1713 (5:13). Coming from N. 1715 wind switched to S & SE w/decreased intensity, then straight down. 1717 fr S again. 1721 very lt rain w/thunder & lightning. @ 1725 read rain gage = 0.28in. A few hail stones still in grass; picked up one 1/4" still. @ 1734 all rain stopped. Thunder and lightning still seen and heard tho no strikes close. @ 1749 fairly heavy rain w/o hail started again, straight down. Heavy, steady rain continuing @1759 but thunder and lightning moving to SW, it sounds like' Hail pad replaced when rain gage checked. Some dents appear to be significant; about 1/2 diameter deep. Ave distance is guess since strikes are very irregularly distant. Updated count.
