NWS THIS IS A "DUPLICATE" REPORT. I ALREADY CALLED 800 432 0875 TO REPORT DIRECTLY.
About half 1" and smaller; larger half had 1.5 and 1.75 common. Found 1 that measured 2.125 during the storm. 8 minutes later found one that measured 2.875. It is about a 2" globe with spikes making the largest dimension 2.875". Might very well have measured 3" when it fell. I have it and several dozen others in the freezer.
I don't have a hailpad but I would guestimate that there probably was hardly over 2 or 3 stones per square foot on average.
I was definitely right on the southwestern edge of the storm. Not sure what the center of the storm was like. |
