| Notes: |
Roaring on roof warned me to look outside--steady crescendo then cut off.
Majority was 0.1", some 0.2", a few rice 0.3" made up of smaller hails stuck together.
Stones observed on car windshields, but no accumulation on lawn since it melted rapidly before I could get to it.
Final 1:01pm gentler blast for 1 minute mixed rain and melting hail on windows.
One thunderclap without noticeable flash in region where lightning is rare.
My hail pad was destroyed by snowplow service 2 winters ago. I have not replaced it because hail is so rare here. |
