We got home at 6:30 last night to "plow through snow" on the street. The ground was covered with hail. There was a pile by the garage about 2 ft deep. The plants and trees were shredded. This morning there is still a 3 in pile of hail outside my door and the patio is covered with hail. It is crusty. The largest hail is still 1 in across and cloudy. Most of the large ones have a spiral pattern in them. The smallest ones, 1/4 in, are clear. There are still plenty that are huge. I break through as I cross the yard. I did not have a hail pad out, but I'm sure it would also be shredded. My friend said the hail started about 2:15. This is really gross...there goes the rest of the growing season. |
