| Notes: |
Storm began as I was leaving the house to go to Golden, so I don't know the details of when and how it ended. The hail grew to be great slushy balls that splattered on the car windows as I dropped from elevation 8750 to 8200 ft at Douglas Mountain Drive during the period 5:20PM to 5:26PM. When I collected the hail pad at 7:00 AM on 6/7 there were 3 strikes of hard hail. The remainder were the slush balls observed in the car. I heard an occasional hard strike while I was driving. Temperature on on the undercarriage car thermometer was 57 degrees F. |
