A very small cumulonimbus cloud brought an extremely heavy RA shower starting around 1345 PT with peak instantaneous rain rate reaching 4.76"/h (120.9 mm/h) at 1347 PT, though only producing a total of 0.11" (2.8 mm) when the shower had ended around 1353 PT. The hail arrived near the end of the shower, came in two waves and only lasted very briefly, around 2 mins from 1349 to 1350 inclusive. No lightning/thunder associated with this tiny convective cell. The Ta fell from 15.9ºC at 1345 to 14.2ºC by 1400. All these conditions are quite similar to a June RAGR shower, reported here, that occurred on the 5th in 2021. |
