One hailstone I saw was larger than a quarter, but not quite as big as a half dollar. Very hard rain simultaneous to hail -- about an inch (rain), 10-11a.m. It's still raining now (11:30am). Some of my neighbor's siding blew off their house. I had water leakage around one window, which has never happened before. Weather radio warned of 60mph winds. Seemed a little stronger than that to me, but I have no way of measuring. White hail accumulation under downspouts, in gullies & window wells, & in relatively enclosed areas looks like snow. It was 60 degrees when the storm started; it's 55 now. |
