| Notes: |
This was called into the Quad City Weather service at 5:00 PM during the actual event. Spotter number is HE78. Was following the storm home and caught up to it 3 miles East of Mt. Pleasant Ia., as I traveled east. Estimate that half of the vehicles pulled on to the shoulder and allowed the storm to move away to the East rather then drive into it. Not a lot of stones fell. Had 6 to 8 hits on truck in under a 1/4 mile. The noise was as loud as I have ever heard. |
