Hail observed during thunderstorm storm about 3½ miles west of Blanca, CO. Point of observation UTM 13S 0448190E 4144880N NAD83. Hail covered ground to depth of hail ~1/2 inch deep in localized area. Heavy rain was melting hail almost as fast as it fell. Probably in excess of 1½ inch precipitation. No hail pad or rain gage available. |
