Hail was measured with a micrometer and ranged for 0.22 to 0.28 inches. Hail was mostly soft and milky white. I didn't have a hail pad, but hail on the ground seemed to be evenly spaced on the pathways, probably 3/4 inches between pellets. No accumulation was noted, so it must have melted fairly quickly. No damage to young cabbage plants nor swiss chard. |
