Was not present for storm but when I arrived home approx 11:PM there were still piles of hail sitting in the rain. The largest stones I found were almost 1.5" with many nickel to quarter sized. These had been sitting in the rain melting for a while so might have quite a bit larger. Guessing the storm hit sometime between 8 and 9:30 PM. Our Ponderosa Pines took a beating from this one with all their new growth on the ground. |
