| Notes: |
I revisited the rain gauge at 7:00 AM and found 1.31 inches of precip. White hail had covered the ground south of the house about 8:45 PM, but it was all gone in the morning. The neighbors' rain gauge 0.5 miles east (KCOGOLDE14) recorded rain beginning at 20:00, building to 1 in/hr at at 21:30, maxing at 1.14 in/hr at 22:00, .43 in/hr at 22:30, .19 in/hr at 23:00, .04 in/hr at 23:30. Light rain fell in their gauge between 01:00 and 06:00 on 7/7, peaking at .17 in/hr at 02:30. Any hail strikes that may have formed on the hail pad had been annealed by the hard rain that followed most of the hail. I have photographed the pad and will email it in. |
