Hail was on the ground in the morning when I did my normal observation. It is far larger than most hail seen at this site although small in the general world of hail. I was asleep when the hail fell and have no automatic instruments, but below freezing temperatures preserved the hail on the ground. These I measured and found most to be 6mm but a few larger one reaching 9mm approximately 5/8". |
