Notes: The hail fell in four bursts: 1623 MDT-1627 MDT; 1648 MDT-1649 MDT; 1655 MDT-1656 MDT; 1700 MDT-1702 MDT. The trees whose leaves have changed to their fall colors lost about 5 percent of their leaves; trees with green leaves were largely unaffected. The multicellular thunderstorm responsible for the hail left 0.35 inches of precipitation (0.32 inches from rain; 0.03 inches from melted hail).
