| Notes: |
Rain was intermittent in the morning, but then lightning and thunder were observed, with some close lightning strikes. Then a band of heavy rain moved through the area. At some point after the heavy rain began, I began to hear hail striking the skylights and observed small, white ice the size of grains of rice striking the ground. There was a lull in the hail and then a more intense period of hail for 1-2 min occurred. Observing the white ice against dark mulch, about 10% of the area was covered. Then the hail suddenly stopped and did not reoccur. The remaining hail then melted quickly. |
