Very localized hailstorm, Facebook post drew surprise from most area friends (within app. 10 mile radius) who saw little to none. I’m glad I took pictures with a tape measure. Hail fell steadily but was not thick, average distance between tennis ball size stones on the ground was about 5’, overall average still a couple of feet apart. I could pick up maybe 2 or 3 from any one spot. I reported the hail while it was still falling but as “significant weather” instead of “hail”. Too much excitement in the moment. |
