Location is Latitude 39.034 North Longitude -84.479 West on Licking Pike (A-A Highway) along the Licking River approximately 1/4 mile west of my rain gauge. At 6:23 p.m. a few pieces of ice were crashing against the windshield on Route 9. At 6:28 p.m. when pulling into my driveway, I have noticed a few pieces of tiny ice on my front lawn. I have waited a few seconds and the rain had stopped immediately after getting out of the car. The tiny pieces of ice on the lawn had completely disappeared around 6:31 p.m. Air temperature was 21.2 C (70.2 F) as thermometer was read at 6:31 p.m. 21.0 + 0.2 = 21.2 corrected to ITS-90 scale. Minimum was 21.0 C (69.8) ITS-90 scale at 9:41 p.m. edt. |
