NWS Special Weather Statement issued approx 1202 warning of approaching storm front which could have included 40 mph winds and quarter size hail. No winds during first rain/hail and only gusty, noticeable winds during the subsequent rain/hail. After first rain/hail, changed to all rain, sometimes torrential with <1min of widely scattered, pean hail again approx 1318. As Skywarn Spotter, I called NWS-Duluth @ 1233 to report hail. |
