Sound of rain hitting roof abruptly started. Immediately looked out window to see a rain/hail mix falling. Noted time at 12:32PM. Went outside while hail continued and measured several samples, all averaged 3/16" to 1/4". Changed to all rain after 4 minutes at 12:36. Hail on ground about 3-6" apart and disappeared in minutes. Temp in high 50's during event. Rain slowed and tapered off shortly after. Sunny by 1:15PM. Do not have hail pad. |
