10% was 1/2 inch; 20 percent was 3/8 inch; 70 percent was 1/4" size. I have an overhang on my house (roof) and yet the hail accumulated along the edge of my house walls and I could hear it hit the house. It took place during a violent lightning storm. It started raining just before the hail & rained hard & light till about 10pm. the hail was hard, opague white. |
