| Notes: |
This record was observed at the intersection of I25 & Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe NM & surrounding area. Long, very dark squall line overtook us headed roughly E @ over 50mph!!! Followed by a couple of raindrops, then hail which hit us at above intersection @ 3:10p, & continued as we drove into town. Shredded veg so fast that the smell of sage-type brush was intense, even within car, within 1-2 min. Then rain. Enough hail left on streets to make starting & stopping @ stop lights slick. A few small twigs down as well as lots of shredded leaves. Amazing & freaky! Never seen anything like it! |
