Noticed sound of hail on asphalt shingle roof, some rain at the time, beginning 10:41. With 1M candlepower light, and porch light, watched hail fall, bounce off ground, onto porch. Two minutes later, HEAVY rain began, continued for 3-4 minutes, dropped in strength. Heard thunder to east (on Tetons), saw bolt and sheet lightning. Earlier today, saw double rainbows 3 times to NE, NNE, NNE--heard rain begin at 5:30 a.m. today, intermittent all day long. |
