This was thundersnow (grauple) with hail from start of snowstorm until about 4:15 pm when it switched to snow (e.g., the thunderstorm had passed this location). Lots of lightning and thunder for ~30 minutes. I observed the storm from work (2 mi W of my gage) at 3:45 pm, then on drive home at 4:15 pm. Accumulation of soft hail was between 1" to 1.5". RDJ |
