Largest hail stone measured 2.2" about 5-10 minutes after the hail fall. Numerous stones >1.75". Most larger stones that split/melted open contained 3 layers of hail growth, some 4, and a couple as many as 5. Photos available. Hail lasted on ground and deck for 1-2 hours after storm at this location. At peak (4:14-4:18pm), there was more hail than rain. Video available during this initial ramp-up of hail. |
