| Notes: |
Light hail observed on I-70 between Genesee and Morrison at about 6:30 pm on our way to Lakeside Amusement Park (northwest corner of Sheridan Blvd. and 44th Ave.) At about 8:15 it began to rain at Lakeside. First lightly, then fairly heavily, then it let up. After about 5 minutes it began to pour. Within 10 minutes the hail began, lasted for 10 minutes, heavy rains continued for another 10 to 15 minutes, then light sprinkles, and by 9 pm it was all over. Water gushing through the parking lots and over the sidewalks was over-the-ankles deep. Most of the larger hail stones were flattened, not spherical. Reminded us of smaller-sized Mancala game pieces. |
