Notes
After 7:00am observation yesterday, occasional light snow showers and flurries continued into the 9:00am hour then stopped. Snowpack yesterday had melted by late morning. There was no precipitation for several hours' late morning into mid-afternoon when drizzle settled in for the remainder of the day and into the evening. I did observe ice pellets mixed with the drizzle during the 3:00pm hour. Checked gauge catch at 8:53pm indicating 0.04" of precipitation and the temperature was 35F. This morning, heavy frost is coating all exposed surfaces except where the sunshine is melting the frost. Gauge catch is indicating 0.05" of precipitation. However, the inside of the funnel is coated with rime ice. Melted ice and got a total of 0.06" of precipitation. There is no snow anywhere this morning and no thunder heard yesterday.
