 Blowing snow occurred during the morning of February 7, with northwesterly gusts topping 40 mph. Nearly all the newer snow (0.7" from February 6-7) was swept off the 3.5"-deep solid ice/snow block below into small piles and drifts. The temperature held nearly steady in the mid-20s, before falling off overnight to 15°F. Gusty winds, slightly diminished, persisted through the night. Skies were mostly sunny/clear throughout the observation period.
