 Snowing when I checked the gauge. The gauge was in rain mode, but we got a huge amount of snow. There was 0.25" of water in the rain gauge and a large cap of snow on the top. I did my best to move the snow cap into the gauge, and added hot water to melt it for a measurement. Including the original 0.25" of water, the total water content was measured at 0.64". However, I spilt a small amount of water, and there's extra uncertainty from the snow cap. I'd say 0.64" is a lower limit for the total water content.
