Notes
Tmax: 59; Tmin: 41 yestermorning / 42 since midnight. Weak backwash showers during the morning that appeared to add more snow to the higher elevations west of here (we stayed in the 40sF through about noon MST). Fall colors are starting to become more common now - first leaves turned yellow in mid-to-late August, probably due to our dry summer this year (I have noticed this before, most common during the 2002 drought summer). Despite an above-average number of rainy days so far this month (9 out of 14), the sum total of 0.70" is below normal. The same thing can be said for July (with 18 days amounting only to 1.25"), while June and August were closer to normal for the number of rainy days, but with below-normal rainfall totals as well.
