Notes
Winds were not very strong in this area, but likely enough to blow falling snow to prevent it settling. Snow flurries began slowly about 4 pm yesterday and quickly began sticking to surfaces. By 5 pm there was a nice snowfall with a coating on all surfaces. Snow seemed to taper off by about 9 pm. Winds had picked up at this site, continuing this morning, but gusts never seemed to reach the speeds being reported outside our local area. This morning after melting, the gauge reading showed only about .01 mm of precipitation. The snow on surfaces is so little that it is not even possible to get an accurate measure close to one tenth. There is nothing on the snow board except a slight frosting.
