Notes
Yesterday’s high 49°, warmest since January 22nd (23 days prior). Morning low 25°. While some spots remain near 5”, snowpack depth has fallen closer to 4” on average. A couple spots near 3.5”, others closer to 6”. It’s a strong 4”. A couple bare spots developing near trees, along the southern sides of fences and houses. Core sample taken in an area that’s closer to 5”, which probably explains why it remains about 1.3”. Trying to keep the core sample measuring spot consistent, but may change to a more representative spot. It’s getting very difficult to sample accurately now, as the snow underneath the ice collapses under pressure.
