Notes
Drizzle began around 9:00am yesterday then transitioned to light rain about 10:00am. Gauge catch at 11:31am was 0.03". Precipitation went back and forth during the afternoon from light rain to drizzle. Gauge catch at 2:08pm was 0.09" with drizzle and temperature of 34 degrees. Gauge catch at 4:21pm was 0.10" with drizzle then at 4:22pm, precipitation became frozen with ice pellets and 34 degrees. Precipitation went back and forth from frozen to liquid precipitation in the form of drizzle to ice pellets. Gauge catch at 6:55pm was 0.14" with ice accumulating in the gauge catch funnel. Gauge catch at 8:30pm was 0.15". Replaced gauge catch with large gauge catch for snow. Snowpack on snowboard at this time was 0.1" and 0.2" on elevated surfaces. Light snow was falling and temperature was 31 degrees. After ice melted in yesterday's gauge catch funnel, the total was 0.19". This morning, the overnight gauge catch with snow melted down to 0.10" with a total gauge catch of 0.29". Snowpack average measured at 2.0" with a SWE of 0.15". There was no old snowpack to measure. No thunder was heard. This morning, very light snow is falling during and after observation.
