 Sunny with a few clouds, delightfully less humid, 67•. Rain yesterday starting around noon, increasing to heavy rain with thunder at 1:45p, causing street flooding. Downpour of even heavier rain, lightning, thunder from 2:20p to 2:47p. By 4p total rain of 1.17” in gauge: the flooded Boulevard (main road) was nearly impassable at 38th Street south in Long Beach Township and 28th Street south in Ship Bottom, causing severe standstill traffic.
