Gauge Catch
2.18 in. |
Notes
44° and overcast, raining lightly. Calm winds. No data history from the digital gauge, as my internet is still out. I will say that as of 4pm when I got home from work, there was just a smidge under one half inch in the gauge, and by 6pm there was three quarters of an inch, so the bulk of the catch fell overnight. Certainly heard it on the roof in the evening, and after going to bed. I don't think we got as much wind as other places. Didn't hear it, and don't see evidence of it ... what I can see in the dark anyway. I took a guess on the street and field flooding. Out front of the house, now, looks fine, but I'm sure the gutters were running during the night. It is good timing that the leaf collection was done right after Thanksgiving, as the drains had been cleared at that time, and not much more has fallen. So I don't expect there'll be much water standing in the road, at least down here. If I find out differently when I go in to the office, I'll do a conditions report. |
