 Torrential downpour in early afternoon. No thunderstorm. I measured 0.68 inches in the gauge at 4:30 p.m. No rain from perhaps 3:30 into the early evening. Strong winds and more rain beginning about 8:30 p.m. Strong wind gusts into the night. I measured another 0.47 inch at this morning's gauge reading. Temperatures fell nearly 40 degrees from the afternoon high to this morning's low. It was 61 degrees at 7 p.m., 43 degrees at 9:30 p.m., 35 degrees at midnight, and 29 degrees at 5:45 a.m. During the afternoon downpour many of the storm drains were nearly overwhelmed.
