 About 8:20 am heavy rain began with frequent distant thunder, at 8:20am even heavier rain began. Changed to moderate rain about 8:45 am that continued for several hours. When radar cleared I observed 0.78 inches of rain. By dusk another 0.10 inches was in the gauge from very light rain/drizzle that had fallen throughout the day, and another 0.33 fell overnight. Adding yesterday morning’s report of 0.05 gives a storm total of 1.26 inches.
