The weather system contributing to this rainfall is a very juicy one, with high PWATs near record values. Had repeated rounds of storms come through from around 6 pm through the evening, with non-stop rain continuing throughout the night and about to stop just now (~11:30 am) Steering flow was aligned with the cold front and resulted in training of storms. Some cool lightning bolts and an intense burst of wind-driven rain here but nothing too crazy
