 08-12-26: High 79, Low 68, wind SE, S, SW & W calm-22 mph w/gusts 46 mph. Storm approached around or about 8:45am. Earlier Weather radio warnings were indicating Ottawa was about to be in the area of a tornado warning. Around 8:50 or so Ottawa sirens came on. Phone alerts. All warnings worked! Sky turned black/green. Time for the basement. Turned out to be mainly a rain event. 2.08 in my gauge. My yard is ponding. At 3:45am Fox River in Dayton 8.57/flood stage 12. IL River in LaSalle 16.33/flood stage 20. NWS & W/U saying another 2.29 is on the way. More on Friday. Today at 4:44am: FOG (light) temp 67, wind SE 2 to 3 mph, "W" flag flying, dew point 65, humidity 97%. Normal 82/63. Sunrise 6:03am, Sunset 7:58pm.
