Notes
0.51” of rain over three rounds yesterday afternoon - nothing severe but they were intense for the brief times they lasted. R1 - started with thunder at 1335 ended 1404 gave 0.27”. R2 - started 1536 to 1559 gave 0.04”. R3 - also about 30 minutes sometime between 1800 and 1900 gave 0.20”. Rain kept temps down but did reach a high of 90 degrees F before the rain started. Heat index high of 101 - I was doing yard work and felt every bit of it. Wind before the rain was light to moderate generally out of the south- strong wind gust of 37mph before R1. Quiet overnight. This morning at obs time mix of clouds and sun, 74 degrees, dew point 72, light wind SSW. Rain has soaked in or ran down in the cracks - I would describe the soil as damp but not muddy.
