 variably cloudy skies during the period; as cold front settles through, SHRA and TSRA develop in the afternoon into the evening; TSRA here close to 3PM followed by a few showers into the evening; just 3 miles to the W and SW of here, a strong TSRA produced heavy rain prompting a flash flood warning for (western) Portsmouth. Warm early but cooling off as onshore winds strengthen in the afternoon and evening. Low pressure expected to form offshore SE US and Middle Atlantic coasts, then slowly move NNE by the weekend.
