 Rain and wind began late yesterday afternoon. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch for a wide area including me was on my NOAA Weather Radio at home when I arrived home shortly after the rain and wind started. Then a little while after I arrived home a Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued over NOAA Weather Radio for Southeast Cook where I am at in Park Forest. Although thunderstorms started in my area a while after thankfully right here they were not severe. Thunderstorms kept moving through my area during the evening and night like I expected from the NWS Chicago Weather Story and also their radar. Although NOAA Weather Radio has always been my primary source for many years for Warnings, Watches, and Advisories, their website specially the radar display are very valuable to me as a trained spotter.
