 There was a delay between signing up and when I received my Tropo gauge, so this obs is actually my First 24 obs! 0.16" of the rain was from a storm yesterday morning, starting around 0930; an additional 0.01" fell a bit later, with a brief rain. The 0.16" amount fell within an hour or less. It was windy; locally via Tempest around 6mph gusts; it is 6" up and there are a lot of things that seem to cause turbulence and decreased readings...esp if winds greater than 10mph. That said, the rains fell pretty much straight down at my Tropo station. The rain started this morning, just after taking my reading; will be included in next report. Very dark out and Tempest shows lightning less than 25 mi away.
